About maureen

Maureen Bosker, RN, 500 hour ERYT

Celebrating 24 years of practicing Yoga and meditation, Maureen Bosker has a rare gift of sharing her knowledge. "I have been so blessed to practice with many world renowned teachers. I began my journey with my teacher Linda Graham, a student of Jonny Kest. I started teacher training with Linda, who then left to pursue her dream of sailing. I attended a workshop with Kathy McNames of Yoga Vermont, who deeply inspired me to continue my Yoga journey. I trained with Kathy for many years. She guided me to some amazing Ashtanga certified teachers, including a Primary and Secondary Series teacher training with David Swenson.  I have participated in and/or sponsored more weekends than I can remember with Beryl Bender Birch.  Kathy encouraged me to spend 6 weeks, over several years practicing with Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, the founder of Ashtanga Yoga, teaching in the tradition of  J. Krishnamacharya. It is a gift I will be forever grateful for. It is Guruji who has inspired me to continue this path of sharing Yoga. '99% practice,  1% theory.'  'Practice and all is coming.'  This journey of the breath penetrates our inner most being and brings about our communion with our true nature, Absolute Bliss.

Being a registered nurse, I have over the years sought to study a strong anatomy and alignment training. Dr. Ray Long has been my long time teacher. I have also had the opportunity to study with many amazing alignment based teachers whose teachings are based on B.K.S. Iyengar's teachings."
