A Weekend Workshop with Pam Burgess
A weekend to slow down, go deeper, and explore the quieter side of the practice.
Join us for an 8-hour immersive workshop dedicated to yin yoga—a practice rooted in stillness, subtle awareness, and the balance of yin and yang. In Taoist philosophy, yin and yang represent opposite yet complementary forces that exist within all things. When these energies are in balance, the body supports the healthy flow of qi (life force), creating a sense of ease and well-being.
Throughout this weekend, we’ll explore the many layers of yin yoga through discussion, demonstration, and practice.
What we’ll dive into:
Yin vs. yang
The history of yin yoga
The principles (tattvas) of yin
The yin tissues—fascia, tendons, and ligaments
Meridian systems and the five elements
Directions of the hips and spine
Yin asanas
Prop support
Theming and sequencing
Each day will begin with pranayama and end with a long, nurturing yin practice to help you integrate what you’ve learned.
This is an interactive workshop with time for Q&A and demonstration, designed to support both your personal practice and, if applicable, your teaching.
Whether you’re a yoga instructor or a dedicated practitioner, this weekend will leave you with a deeper understanding of yin yoga and its role in creating balance in the body and mind.
